Scope

Construction of 2 office buildings with underground car park. It concerns 3 underground floors, each with a net surface of 4,000 m².
The sheeting of the basement wall (280 lm) is executed by way of soil mix walls.
Deep well-point dewatering.
The two office buildings (blocks A and) to be erected onto this car park each have a ground floor and 6 upper floors with a technical room (+7).

The contract is a turnkey contract. The covered rough structure is realised for a lump sum, the 'finishing' part is executed by a building team applying an open-book system + a coordination fee.

Shoring of the pit excavation was done by means of soil mix walls with 2 rows of preliminary anchors. Afterwards concrete was poured by means of a one-sided formwork against a soil mix wall.

The different services of the hospital ‘AZ Groeninge’ in Courtrai are spread over 4 different locations. All these services will be brought together in one big hospital along the road ‘Kennedylaan’. A joint venture with Jan De Nul NV is executing the structure works of the 4 extra blocks and 4 bunkers in a very tight period of only 20 months.

The building will not be a high-rise block, but will consist of only three floors, in order to minimize the impact on the surrounding green environment. To maximize the cleance of each level, the floors were constructed with prestressed concrete. After the extension works, the new floor surface of AZ Groeninge will be 116,000 m², a huge difference from the initial 38,000 m².
