In 2002, the Norwegian-flagged vehicle carrier Tricolor collided with another ship while traveling from Zeebrugge (Belgium) to Southampton (UK). The Tricolor with a length of 190 m and a width of 32 m sank 20 miles north of the French coast. The French government published a tender to remove the wreck.
