We kicked off 2020 in January with the festive inauguration of the water infrastructure works on and around the weir lock complex along the Lys in Harelbeke. This project has now been nominated for the Publica Awards in the category Mobility, UrbanDevelopment and Infrastructure. Because the infrastructure works not only increased the Lys transport capacity, but also enhanced the connection between the river and its urban setting.
