Waste collected along the banks of the Dender

Last Friday, a small group of International Business Development students from the Artevelde College of Advanced Education and some of our Jan De Nul colleagues joined forces to remove litter along the Dender. The clean-up initiative fits within a school project through which the students must apply the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within the scope of our business operations. With this clean-up, the students focus on SDG 14 (Submarine life) and want to draw attention to the importance of biodiversity in oceans and waterways. In all, 15 60-litre waste bags were collected along the banks of the Dender.
