If it does not exist, we create it ourselves. Even if it means going against the current, we always set our own course. With the filtering technique of our Ultra-Low Emission vessels, we are a ground-breaking pioneer in our sector. With our Nature-Based Solutions, we apply innovative building techniques based on and to the benefit of nature. But we also share our knowledge beyond the sector to stimulate innovative thinking.
People
People are the number one priority of Jan De Nul Group. We create a safe work environment in which we stimulate human growth and watch over everyone's wellbeing. We do this through our sports and wellness programme, intensive training courses and a comprehensive safety policy. We strive for these same values in all our partnerships: suppliers and subcontractors, both locally and internationally.
Safety
The safety of our personnel and all external workers who are involved in our work is very important to us. Both on board of our vessels and on our construction sites, we apply high safety standards. By thoroughly training our employees in the applicable rules and procedures, we can maintain operational control during high-risk activities. We remain committed to anchor safety and quality even stronger in all our activities because we strongly believe that prevention is always better than the cure.
Energy, emissions, climate
We strongly reduce our energy consumption. Under the name 'Code Zero', we stimulate everyone's awareness and translate our full-fledged energy management into concrete initiatives. The CO2 performance ladder confirms our approach: we have been awarded the fifth, i.e. highest achievable level.
Quality
Jan De Nul Group applies a high quality standard. With our internal ITA programme, we want to build a corporate culture in which quality is central. A good preparation and operational control are key to our success. We deploy properly trained personnel that can use innovative techniques, smart designs and reliable equipment. We ensure that the process and delivery meet both our and the client’s pre-set quality requirements.
Jan De Nul Group works according to certified management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, VCA, ISM and ISPS.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Sustainability is an intrinsic part of Jan De Nul Group’s DNA. It is not just another tick in the box. With our shared CSR policy, we strive for three ambitious key objectives that focus on our social (People), ecological (Planet) and economic (Profit) impact. With this approach, we work on no less than 13 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
