Grand Duke of Luxembourg pays visit to Jan De Nul

At the invitation of Their Majesties the King and the Queen of Belgium, Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg paid a state visit to our country. Belgium and Luxembourg are closely linked thanks to family ties and a shared history, but also in terms of economy. A visit to our company was therefore also on the programme.

The state visit of the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg to Belgium shows that both countries want to continue investing and cooperating in areas such as e-health, space, defence, education and sustainable economic development. In that light, they met a number of Belgian and Luxembourg CEOs and companies.

On Wednesday afternoon, the delegation visited Jan De Nul, after first visiting North Sea Port and engine builder Anglo Belgian Corporation (ABC).

At 4pm, family De Nul received His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Luxembourg at the office in Aalst. Together with management, they gave him an insight into the world of Jan De Nul: from constructing an energy island to building an air base to port expansions. The group visited the simulator rooms and concluded with a brief introduction about our fleet that is helping with energy transition and marine construction.
