The biannual WOW prize is an incentive for land, road, and water projects which show evidence of innovative and ingenious co-operation and go beyond the standard procedure between client and contractor. This year, 37 projects were submitted. Ten parties gave a pitch and three projects were selected for the final.
About platform WOW
The letters WOW stand for the two sections: Road Authorities (Dutch: ‘Wegbeheerders’) meet Road Authorities and Water meets Water. Platform WOW stimulates, initiates, and facilitates co-operation between road and waterway authorities within the Dutch government, port operators, and drink water companies. Their objective is to organise and use roads and waterways and the water system as efficiently as possible.
