NEO LEGIA - Rives Ardentes

Recap: future residents of eco-district Rives Ardentes get a sneak preview during site visit

On a 25-hectare site in Coronmeuse, NEO LEGIA, the consortium of Jan De Nul Group, Willemen Groep and CIT-Blaton, is developing the new eco-district Rives Ardentes together with the city of Liège.

On the occasion of the finished bicycle and pedestrian bridge 'La Passerelle des Reflets', an memorable visit day took place on Saturday 16 September in the company of the first buyers and future residents.

They were invited to the construction site to see how the work on this ambitious reconversion project was progressing and were the first residents to walk across the 'Passerelle des Reflets'.

The enthusiasm about their new neighbourhood under construction was great and the initiative created a sense of togetherness among future neighbours.

Enthusiasm among future residents

The enthusiasm was palpable on this special day. Smiles and lively discussions among future neighbours reflected the excitement of discovering their future habitat. The fact that so many people signed up for the visit shows the growing interest in this type of project, which puts the environment and the community at the heart of the project.

With the first residents set to move in early 2024, the day was a taste of things to come. Although the project is still under construction, it is already revealing its scale and ambition.

With this discovery day, NEO LEGIA wanted not only to showcase the progress of the work, but also to give the first buyers a sense of belonging. By inviting them to be the first to set foot on the Passerelle des Reflets and letting them witness the transformation of the landscape, the aim was to make them feel at home long before they had the keys in their hands.
