focus on carbon-conscious actions
Jan De Nul Group focuses on carbon-conscious actions to work towards a sustainable world with a sustainable growth of activities, by reducing CO₂ emissions. Since 2013, Jan De Nul NV has been the holder of a certificate on the CO₂ Performance Ladder. Since 2020, civil activities in the Benelux and all environmental activities of Jan De Nul Group also achieved the highest level 5. The CO2 Performance Ladder is an instrument that helps organisations reduce their carbon emissions in the organisation, in projects and in the business sector. With a certificate on the Ladder, organisations can receive an award advantage for their registration on tenders. The instrument is used as both a CO2 management system as well as a procurement tool.
Below, some sections of the CO₂ Performance Ladder are explained. On the website of the CO2 Performance Ladder you can also find information on how Jan De Nul reduces emissions.
The CO₂ footprint, energy policy, reduction targets and the extent to which they have been achieved are reviewed every six months. This information can be found in the progress report. The plan of action for achieving our reduction targets is described in the Energy Management Action Plan.
